Mobility System Specifications:

Description:

The Mobility System consists of a specially designed electric (hospital type) bed and wheelchair. It can transfer a patient comfortably, safely, and essentially automatically to and from a supine position in bed and a seated position in a wheelchair. This entire procedure is accomplished gently and effortlessly with a push of a button located on a handheld pendant. For added convenience, the wheelchair may easily be converted for use as a commode at bedside or over a toilet. The control pendant may be activated for use by either patient or attendant.

A pendant control allows for the following operations:

- Bed HI-LO operation
- Adjustable head and foot elevation

Operation:

The Mobility System is extremely simple to operate. If a patient has use of one hand, the system is operable by the patient without assistance. For patients who are, for any reason, not mentally suitable and/or physically capable of using the controls, an attendant can perform the entire transfer with the press of a button. Approximate total transfer time is 68 seconds.

NOTE: The Mobility System is intended to be operated only by a competent individual in accordance with the Mobility System Instruction Manual.
